Policies
Return Policy
Please read the product warranty page. (Download
the PDF Order Form, the warranty is on the second page.)
IDEA reserves the right to repair, replace or refund a Bright backup power
unit. Unless otherwise specified, we gladly accept defective exchanges
on products within 30 days of original invoice date. I.D.E.A. shall have
sole discretion as to the credit method. We may issue a credit, ship a
replacement product, exchange or we may repair the item and return it to
you. Only an authorized IDEA representative shall repair the unit. Please
contact IDEA at 828-696-0607 for more information.
All units will be inspected and tested upon receipt. Any discrepancies
including, but not limited to, the following list will result in the package
being returned to the customer and credit or replacement will NOT be issued.
- Units which are improperly packaged
- Units with certification labels removed
- Units with serial number that do not match the serial numbers on package or invoice
- DAMAGE: Any dents, scratches, defacement or abuse of Bright unit
- DAMAGE: Loose, damaged or removed screws/fasteners
- If the back panel of the unit has been removed the warranty is void and I.D.E.A. will not accept the unit as a return.
All products being returned must be 100% complete. All packing materials,
manuals, blank warranty cards and other accessories and documentation must
be included. A return will not be processed, or a restocking fee may be charged,
in the event ANY item(s) included in the original shipment to the customer
is not present in the returned package.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR RETURN

Call for a Return Authorization (RA) Number 828-696-0607.
Returns will not be accepted without a valid Return Authorization
(RA) number. RA numbers will expire after 21 days. |
| Step 2: |
Insure and Ship Your Return
Return the item in its original packaging. Packaging is extremely
important to insure the unit being returned arrives in good condition.
When ever possible it is best to return/ ship the unit in its original
packaging.
We strongly recommend that you insure the package for the full cost
of the unit you are returning. IDEA is not responsible for merchandise
that is lost or damaged in transit. The customer is responsible for
postage & handling fees; return shipping fees are non-refundable
unless other arrangements have been made with an I.D.E.A. representative
(I.D.E.A. may reimburse shipping charges related to a defective product).
Include in your package your name, address and phone number. Also
include instructions for contacting you between the hours of 8:00
AM and 6:00 PM (EST) Monday - Friday. |
